Eat and drink at the ocean's edgeGood food and wine by the sea

Location, location, location
The Terrace is housed inside the handsome Victorian architecture of the Headland Hotel – one of Cornwall’s most famous and iconic hotels that has been the focus of several films. One of its best known roles was in the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s, The Witches, and the South West’s most prominent landmark hotel has also starred in The Shellseekers (based on Rosamunde Pilcher’s novel) and a number of BBC dramas. In 1999 it even attracted David Bailey’s camera lens when it was used for a photo shoot for Italian Vogue.
Perched in view of the wild Atlantic rollers lashing Cornwall’s north coast, the Terrace boasts a breathtaking location where you are invited to indulge in the sights and tastes of the West Country. With colossal floor to ceiling windows, whether you sit or inside or out, the views of Fistral Beach and the stunning Cornish coastline make a mesmerising backdrop for eating and drinking. For maximum wow-factor dine on the seafront terrace and watch the surfers ride the waves, or for a romantic sunset order a bottle of wine and huddle into a private bunker carved into the headland by the beach.
In any season and whatever the weather, relax and enjoy the spectacular Cornish scenery in absolute comfort. Sip a sundowner on the veranda, bag a table by the rain-lashed windowpanes, or hunker down by the fire in the bar area.
