Local Cornish produce

We believe in sourcing the best quality local produce. Wherever possible we source food and products from within Cornwall, supporting the local West Country community and ensuring the highest quality and freshness of our goods. The majority of our food purchases come from within 30 miles of The Headland Hotel – for example Cornish meats, freshly landed fish and local dairy products. Favouring companies that can demonstrate their commitment to caring for our environment, we also try and make sure that deliveries are made as efficiently as possible and only use suppliers with an approved Environmental Policy.

The raw beauty of Cornwall’s coastline makes a perfect location for our beach restaurant. Which is why at the Terrace we believe in caring for our surroundings. We ensure we recycle as much as we can, buy goods locally and use recycled and environmentally friendly products where possible. We have also reduced the amount of waste produced and the quantity of water and power we use. At the Headland, the Terrace and the Sand Brasserie we have formed a Green Team to look at every area of our business, and to ensure the smooth and sustainable running of every department. We have been awarded a Gold for the cottages and Silver for the hotel in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

And it’s not just the food that we find locally: cleaning equipment is sourced from local companies, much of the furnishings and artwork have been sourced locally and our menus are printed inhouse on paper from a sustainable source.

If we don’t look after our environment today, future generations will not be able to enjoy this beautiful location.
